Editor, Word on Fire Academic

Dr. Jason C. Paone is the editor of Word on Fire Academic, the scholarly publishing imprint of Bishop Robert Barron’s ministry, Word on Fire. He completed a doctorate in historical and systematic theology at The Catholic University of America in February 2024. Under Reinhard Hütter, he wrote a dissertation entitled Obedient Belief: The Act of Faith and the Problem of Doxastic Voluntarism in the Theology of Matthias Joseph Scheeben. He has published two edited volumes of Thomas Aquinas’s biblical commentaries: Thomas Aquinas: Selected Commentaries on the New Testament (2022) and Thomas Aquinas: Selected Commentaries on the Old Testament (2024). He is also the creator and managing editor of The New Resourcement, a journal dedicated to theological renewal through engagement with the Church’s tradition. In addition to his editorial work, he teaches as an adjunct professor of theology at the University of St. Thomas in Houston.
