Thomas Hoerner is a doctoral student of biblical theology in the Catholic University of America’s School of Theology and Religious Studies. He earned his B.A. in Theology and Philosophy from Benedictine College and his M.T.S. in Biblical Studies from the University of Notre Dame. His research interests center on the world of the Second Temple, its theology, its literature, and the highly influential and centuries-long translation project called the Septuagint. He is passionate about teaching Catholics Hebrew and about mutually beneficial exchange between the Christian East and West.
