Mary Claire Kendall is a Washington-based writer and columnist. Her recent books also include Oasis: Conversion Stories of Hollywood Legends and Oasis of Faith: The Souls Behind the Billboard--Barrymore, Cagney, Tracy, Stewart, Guinness & Lemmon. She has written the never-before-told story of Betty Hutton, known for Annie Get Your Gun, whose conversion to Catholicism was life-changing; and has several film projects in various stages of development including, among others, one based on Hemingway's Faith and two based on original works of fiction. Her next book in the Hemingway genre will feature Hemingway's friendship with F. Scott Fitzgerald and Gary Cooper.
