John S. Grabowski is an Ordinary Professor of Moral Theology/Ethics at The Catholic University of America where he has taught since 1991. He has served three terms as a theological advisor to the U.S.C.C.B. Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family, and Youth. He and his wife Claire were appointed to the Pontifical Council for the Family by Pope Benedict XVI in the fall of 2009 where they served as a member couple. In 2015 he was appointed by Pope Francis to serve as an expert (adiutor) at the Synod of Bishops on the Family. Dr. Grabowski has written or coauthored seven books and many scholarly and popular articles in the areas of moral theology, marriage, sexuality, and bioethics. His latest book Unraveling Gender: The Battle over Sexual Difference (2022) is available from TAN Books. He and his wife have 5 children and 12 grandchildren and live in the Archdiocese of Washington.
