Emilie Tardivel is Professor of Moral Philosophy and Religious Anthropology at the Catholic Theology Faculty of the University of Strasbourg since 2024. She was before Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Institut Catholique de Paris, where she also held a chair on the common good in partnership with ESSEC Business School and important French companies. Her research covers three main areas: moral and political philosophy, phenomenology and economic and social ethics. Laureate of the Académie française for her book on Patočka, La liberté au principe (Vrin, 2011), she has written a book with Jean-Luc Marion, Fenomenologia del dono (Morcelliana, 2018), two essays entitled Tout pouvoir vient de Dieu. Un paradoxe chrétien (Ad Solem, 2015) and Morale et droit (Boleine, 2023). She is also deputy editor-in-chief of the French-language committee of the international Catholic review Communio.
