Micah Harris is a Postdoctoral Associate with the Political Science Department at Duke University. He holds a PhD in Political Theory from the Catholic University of America where he wrote a dissertation titled “How Political Action Shapes the Actor: The Political Theory of Martin Luther King Jr.” Dr. Harris has also written academic articles on Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the American founding. Before pursuing a PhD he earned an MA in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College, and wrote his masters thesis on Friedrich Nietzsche.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Harris is also a novelist. He has worked in the U.S. Senate, the White House, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the United States European Command Headquarters in Germany.
