Émilie Tardivel is Professor of Moral Philosophy and Religious Anthropology at the Catholic Theology Faculty of the University of Strasbourg. Holder of a chair on the common good in partnership between the Institut Catholique de Paris and ESSEC Business School, her research covers three main areas: moral and political philosophy, phenomenology, economic and social ethics.
Laureate of the Académie française for her book on Patočka, “La liberté au principe” (Vrin, 2011), Professor Tardivel has written a book with Jean-Luc Marion, “Fenomenologia del dono” (Morcelliana, 2018), and two essays entitled “Tout pouvoir vient de Dieu. Un paradoxe chrétien” (Ad Solem, 2015) and “Moral et droit” (Boleine, 2023). She is also deputy editor-in-chief of the French-language committee of the international Catholic review “Communio.”
