Claes G. Ryn is the author of many books in political philosophy that deal with the above-mentioned fields. He has lectured widely in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, especially China. He gave the Distinguished Foreign Scholar Lectures at Beijing University and was named Honorary Professor at Beijing Normal University. He was president of the Philadelphia Society and the Academy of Philosophy and Letters and Chairman of the National Humanities Institute.
