Assistant Professor of Canon Law, The Catholic University of America
Father James Bradley is Assistant Professor of Canon Law at The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, where his research focusses on liturgical and sacramental law. He worked in a number of Church of England parishes before being received into the full communion of the Catholic Church and ordained a Priest for the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham. For the past 15 years he has served in various capacities in Catholic parishes, both in the UK and Washington, DC, including as Priest-in-Charge of an urban area of considerable material deprivation in the south of England, where his parish brought together over 20 language groups, a Polish community, two different Syro-Malabar communities, a Syro-Malankara community, and a group attached to the extraordinary form. In his canonical work he has assisted with the establishment of new groups, missions, and personal parishes, and with agreements for multiple jurisdictions sharing a church building and priest.
