Matalyn Vennerstrom holds a PhD in Politics with a concentration in Political Theory from the Catholic University of America. Her dissertation focused on conscience and the philosophical anthropology of the person in liberalism and the Christian tradition. Prior to her doctoral studies, Matalyn studied history and politics as an undergraduate at Hillsdale College. She continues to research and write on topics related to conscience, Christian anthropology, and church and state, as well as questions related to feminine vocation and the intellectual life. She is the co-founder of the American Academy of Catholic Women and a corresponding fellow with the Institute for Human Ecology.
