Christopher Ragusa is an Assistant Professor of Theology at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (or FranU). A native of South Louisiana, Dr. Ragusa completed his PhD at the Catholic University of America, where he wrote his dissertation on the role of participation in St. Thomas Aquinas’s moral theology. Dr. Ragusa is also a consultant for the USCCB’s Institute on the Catechism and the Subcommittee on the Catechism. For eight years he has helped in reviewing catechetical materials and organized the planning and running of the Institute’s yearly Catechetical Convocation. Dr. Ragusa specializes in natural law and virtue ethics along with their applications for bioethics. He is a REACH Fellow and also the Coordinator of the Bioethics Lecture Series at FranU. Dr. Ragusa was recently named an 2025-2026 Inklings Fellow and teaches both in theology and great books at FranU. His articles have appeared in The American Maritain Association Book Series and Joie de Vivre: A Journal of Arts, Culture, and Letters for South Louisiana.
